History[]
Season 2[]
Emily Sinclair believed that Annalise was responsible for the death of her husband Sam along with other illegal acts. She started by blackmailing Asher into being her unoffical mole into the activites of Annalise and her associates. She had him steal Annalise's voice recorder for example. Eventually the threats she was sending to Asher were enough for him to decide to officially act as an informant into Annalise. He was set to testify against her for a wiretap warrant on the Keating house to be obtained. Bonnie found out what he was doing and told him she killed Sam to stop him from testifying.
Some time later, Sinclair still wanted the upper hand on Annalise, even if she had to do so illegally. She had dozens of boxes full of discovery on the Hapstall case sent to the house in order to 'Trojan horse' a spy pen into the house. Once the team became aware of this, they used it to trick Sinclair into serving a search warrant on the mansion, lying that the gun was in the basement in a tool box. The search turned up nothing and went past 5pm, which mattered because Sinclair offered Caleb and Catherine a plea deal that expired at that time. After that it can be assumed the team destroyed the bug.
