This page is dedicated to the fourth season of ABC's How to Get Away with Murder. The series was renewed for a fourth season on February 10, 2017, by ABC.[1]

Season Summary

After Wes' death, Annalise (Viola Davis), Michaela (Aja Naomi King), Connor (Jack Falahee), Asher (Matt McGorry) and Laurel (Karla Souza) all struggle to move on with their lives, but when a new mystery involving one of their own unfolds throughout the season, relationships are fractured, secrets are exposed and yet another terrifying truth is revealed.

"How to Get Away with Murder" stars Academy Award®-nominee Viola Davis as Professor Annalise Keating, Billy Brown as Detective Nate Lahey, Jack Falahee as Connor Walsh, Aja Naomi King as Michaela Pratt, Matt McGorry as Asher Millstone, Karla Souza as Laurel Castillo, Charlie Weber as Frank Delfino, Liza Weil as Bonnie Winterbottom and Conrad Ricamora as Oliver Hampton.[2]

Notes and Trivia

  • Production began on May 8, 2017, when one of the writers of the show announced on Twitter that the writing staff was in full swing mapping and writing the fourth season.[16]
  • Filming is scheduled to start on July 11, 2017 and wrap January 27, 2018.[17]
    • Filming officially wrapped on February 10, 2018.[18]
  • The writers started working on the season on May 8, 2017.[19]
  • The table read for the first episode of the season was on July 14, 2017.[20]
  • There are currently no plans for Alfred Enoch to return to the show as he is filming another show in another country, however, Pete Nowalk is hopeful that he will return at some point in the season.[21]
    • In "He's Dead", Alfred Enoch appears as Wes. The new storyline for his character suggests that he will be in at least one other episode.
  • There is around a one or two month time jump when the series returns, and they will be starting their second semester of their second year of law school.[22]
  • A three-week break will occur after "Ask Him About Stella", and the season will return with the crossover episode. The break is due to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games being held over the next couple of weeks.
