A.D.A. Rustein Tarpley is a minor character on How to Get Away with Murder. He is the ADA who attempted to prosicute Tristan Fullerton for credit card theft.

Biography

Season 3

At court, Rustein is the ADA in the case with minor Tristan Fullerton who is being charged with credit card fraud. Rustein presented a video of Tristain at a cashpoint using a fake credit card to withdraw $1000 bringing the amount of money he stole to $41k over two months. Asher Millstone, a law student delivers a statement about Tristan to the court when Rustein's assistant then enters the courtroom with a message - that Annalise Keating has had her license to practice law revoked. Following the defense's setback, they both return to court sometime later. Bonnie Winterbottom, who has taken over from Annalise as Tristan's attorney, puts his teacher, Susan Boatman on the stand. Bonnie asks her whether she is pregnant and therefore whether the father of her child is Tristan's. Due to the seriousness of her answer, the judge advises her that she could plead the fifth to avoid self-incrimination. She utilizes this. Realizing that Tristan may not have been stealing the money for himself but has most likely been manipulated by his teacher, Rustein drops the charges against him. ("Don't Tell Annalise")
