I have been making the rounds to let some wikis know about Fandom's newest blog detailing the Global Taxonomy project. To put it simply: the "related pages" between different wikis should start becoming more connected based on the relationship between their content. (It is similar to Netflix's recommendations of content based on what a person watched.)
Based on the example given in the blog, I would say for example that because there was a crossover between HTGAWM and Scandal, this and the Scandal Wiki would share more of a connection than other wikis. But the blog explains it better than me.
Other than this, I hope all is well in here, especially after that midseason finale, which I still feel dizzy about!
Hi DeviousPeep, my name is Antonio and I am a Community Manager of the TV/Movies vertical for Fandom. I wanted to introduce myself and see if you need anything, have any problems, or would like to share any ideas you have. As you may already know, our Community Org is changing. From now on our team will focus even more on building closer relationships with the communities, admins, and users.
We are here to support you and help make this community thrive. If you need anything, feel free to contact me or our Wiki Manager directly at any time. And just so you know, Wiki Managers might be more available than me on weekends.
I will be here together to Playsonic2 -Wiki Manager- for anything you need.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I hope to hear back from you soon! :)
I'm just creating some location pages for the new locations in Season 5 and I didn't know what to call the house which Laurel, Michaela, Connor, and Oliver are staying at. I remember that they called it a former frat house, so i was considering calling it that... "Frat House" but that didn't feel right.
Do you have a better name or should we just stick with "Frat House" for now?
I was looking at the Season 3 page and saw the note you made about low sales being the reason there's no more DVDs. Is there an actual source for that? I assumed it was the reason, but I was wondering if there was actual confirmation.
Sorry for the late reply, but i actually didn't find any conformation of sorts. The only proof that i found for a reason as to why there isn't (or doesn't seem to be) a DVD for the third and so on seasons was because of low sales. Though this reason is basically speculation which i obtained from a forum.
Since the wiki's meant to be objective, I was just concerned with the use of speculation as a cite even though it most likely is true. Now that the wording's been altered though, I think it's more acceptable to include.
Also, I made pages for the DVDs which involved a new template. I noticed you converted the other infoboxes but I'm not entirely sure how that works. I just wanted to let you know in case you wanted to do that at some point. I also added portals for Gabriel, Tegan and Emmett but then realized the ones on the mainpage are sized differently and that they're also different templates. I'm not as familiar with the templates you've been converting to, so if you wanna play with that some too then it's there. None of this is necessarily a priority, I just wanted to make sure you knew about it just in case.
Hi there, was wondering if you had any thoughts on the wiki being as we haven’t actually talked about anything since I was promoted early last year: whether you thought that something should be changed like the design or something or whether you had any ideas on how to make the wiki better?
I know there is still work to be done, especially the recaps [sigh]. I just wanted your opinion since you aren’t that active so I can't get to know your ideas or thoughts on the wiki.
I'm very happy with everything that you've done. :) I'm not that active, but I do check in and find it very relieving that there's someone here keeping things up to date!
As far as changes go, I'll look around more and let you know, but there's nothing major that sticks out to me. And yeah, the recaps are always the worst part. :P Still, this wiki is doing better than some of the others out there.
Question - and you may or may not have the answer to this - but how did you make the navboxes collapsible? I'm doing a wiki for an upcoming ABC show called Grand Hotel, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to collapse those templates.
Hi, I just saw on the Barham page that the trivia mentions her name to be revealed in the transcript. If you saw the transcript somewhere online, maybe link it as a reference? That way there's something to back it up since it wasn't seen within the show.
Hi there, i was wondering whether you could give me admin privileges on this wikia as i would like to update some of the information and it would make it a lot easier. I also notice that there aren't many active admins so i would like to be one.
I recently added a page for the season 3 finale, but my source turned out to be incorrect concerning the title. The episode's titled "Wes", but I can't rename the page because of a redirect page that exists for the character and I need an admin to be able to change that.
Hey! Just thought mentioning that the categories for both Frank Delfino and Nate Lahey need to be updated/changed. Both characters are listed as being both alive and of 'unknown living status' (when you don't know if someone is alive or dead). Could the unknown living status be deleted please? I've tried but have failed (not sure if it was possible for me to do or not).
Thank you for reading!
P.S. I've also sent this to CoyoteDork , so it's a battle to be first! :D
I was looking on one of the episode pages, and I noticed that you placed each character by each episode where their respective flash forwards were featured. However, for episodes 3 and 4, aren't Connor and Michaela's episodes switched up? Because Michaela was the featured Keating Five member for 1x03, and Connor was featured in 1x04. Just thought I'd ask to rid the confusion. :)
