Louis Lindgren is a minor character on How to Get Away with Murder. He is a councilman who was accused with raping a 14 year old girl, Bonnie.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Louis presumably visited Robert Winterbottom and took advantage of his daughter in the basement in city hall while her father cleaned the place. Bonnie was 14 at the time. When she was older, she saw the councilman's picture on the television and apparently recognized him as one of the people who came and raped her. She pressed charges against him and was sent to court. ("I Love Her")
Season 4[]
Louis and Annalise seeing the witness, Bonnie. ("I Love Her") |
In 2002, Councilman Louis Lindgren is escorted to the courthouse by his two lawyers, Hugh Murphy and Annalise Keating. After arriving at the courthouse, they are greeted with a wave of reporters. They then get stopped for a brief minute as the witness, Bonnie Winterbottom goes past. Once the court is in session, Bonnie is on the stand explaining that she was 14 when she was raped by the Councilman. She tells the court that it ended when she got pregnant, however, as she was being raped by multiple men she had no idea who the father was, nor does she know what happened to her baby once she gave birth. The next time she is in court, Annalise is crossing Bonnie. Annalise questions her while she is on the stand and asks her why she waited so long to tell people what had been happening to her. Bonnie tells her that she was very young and her father was intimidating. Next, Annalise questions Bonnie's memory. She asks how she knows that it was the councilman that raped her and Bonnie responds that she remembered that it was him when she saw him on the TV. Annalise throws her multiple different mental illnesses, each trying to disprove Bonnie's testimony. However, it has the opposite effect. Annalise also questions the existence of her child that supposedly died. Annalise then gets Bonnie to practically admit that there is a chance that the baby might not have existed which resulted in the councilman winning the case. ("I Love Her")
