- "Asher, no!
What are you doing?
We can't just leave Laurel's gun here.
No, it's not registered to me!
It's a murder weapon!
He shot himself!
No one's gonna believe that!
It's the truth!
Put it back! Put it back!"
Laurel's unregistered gun was an item that was frequently shown in season 4 and was revealed to be what landed Simon Drake in hospital.
History[]
Season 3[]
Laurel asked Asher and Michaela for a favour and told them she would tell them what it was when they said yes. A few hours later Michaela met with Charles Mahoney in a bar in New York and started flirting with him. He offered for the two to go back to his apartment and before leaving she met with Laurel and Asher in the toilets to tell them she wasn't going to do it and that she loved Asher back. Laurel got annoyed at them and decided to settle the score herself, showing the two her gun before leaving to confront Charles. Before Laurel can reach him, Dominick comes out of nowhere to greet her. ("Wes")
Season 4[]
Throughout the season, Laurel kept the gun inside Wes' apartment. Whenever there was a knock at the door she would reach for the gun, like when Connor came to visit. During the party at Caplan & Gold, Laurel showed up unexpectedly, her gun in bag - but nobody knew this at the time. The plan for the night had a few hiccups like failing to get Tegan's clutch at first and then Asher changing the plan in the middle. When Asher was showing Laurel out, they met Michaela along the way and they told her Oliver was planting the key card on Simon. Simon heard this and demanded to know what was going on. Laurel offered to pay him in exchange for his silence but he wanted to know what was in her bag and snatched it from her. He pulled out the gun and began acting wreckless with it, leading to him accidentally shooting himself in the head. Following that, Asher picked up the gun before Laurel and Michaela told him to put it back. It was then left to be collected as evidence when the police inevitably showed up. ("Live. Live. Live.")
