"Roger sent that e-mail to me. We've been seeing each other for the past year. He knew about our texts, so he e-mailed me the article as a joke."
—Karen Duvall to Annalise and her team.[src]

Karen Duvall is a minor character on How to Get Away with Murder. She and her brothers were accused of poisoning their mother, Edith Duvall.

Season 3Edit

After Karen, Nelson and Jared are accused by their mother of poisoning her with antifreeze, the two seek council with Annalise Keating and her teaching clinic. The students interview the three siblings. Karen reveals to Laurel and Wes that her mother called her "Big Kahunas Karen" because she developed quite early and her mother wouldn't let her wear a bra. Asher finds a possible suspect for the case due to a compromising email mentioning antifreeze. When questioned about it, Karen tells them that she was involved with the email, making them unusable. During Jared's deposition, the ADA asks Jared about his love life and Edith jokes about Jared's non-existing love life. This causes Jared to lash out at his mother and tells her that he wishes she was dead. At Edith's deposition, Laurel and Annalise question her. When Annalise and Laurel managed to get to the bottom of her lies, the ADA advises Edith to get her lawyer before answering any more of their questions. She insists that they should continue and she eventually cracks and admits that she poisoned herself as her children take her for granted and wanted to show them that they shouldn't. The prosecution drops the charges against the siblings. ("Call It Mother's Intuition")
