an essay on public vs private settings in HTGAWM
I started writing an essay on the topic of public vs private setting in HTGAWM after thinking a bit too hard about the concept of 'going public' and was curious if anyone would be interested in reading it and figured the Wiki would be the best place to ask. Would anyone be interested in the topic? It would discuss all 6 seasons starting from the pilot and I also focus a lot on Laurel and plan to write a lot on Oliver as well
Interactive Maps for everyone!
You get a Map, and you get a Map, and you a Map!
Hey everyone! Fandom recently announced that Interactive Maps are live on the platform. With this feature, communities can design their own interactive maps, allowing you to place pins on an image that will lead to wiki articles when clicked on.
Interactive Maps are available to all communities, accessible from the the "Explore" menu on the local navigation, or by visiting Special:AllMaps directly in the url. Map creation and editing is currently limited to those with the user right editinteractivemap
, which is automatically given to administrators and Fandom Staff, and they can make anyone a "map-tester".
You can get very creative with Maps, from creating Maps of the world, to indicating the pa…
Global Wiki Rules and Blocking policy updates
Hey everyone!
About a year after the introduction of the global "Wiki Rules and Blocking Policy", which was created to benefit to overall health of wiki communities, this policy is getting an update based on user feedback and request for more clarity and examples. The changes to the global policy will go into effect on April 4th, 2022. This is the perfect time to come together as a community and review whether or not your wiki is in compliance with the new requirements!
- 1 The new policy
- 1.1 What changed?
- 2 Got questions?

Fandom's plans for the first quarter of 2022
Hey all, first time reaching out to you all in the new year, so I first of all want to start off with the sincere hope that 2022 has been treating you all better than the previous years have. Continue to stay safe!
Secondly, I wanted to share a glimpse of the plans Fandom has in store for the first months of the new year. Brandon, the VP of Community at Fandom, shared a more elaborate blog about it, which you can read here, but this would be the overview:
Interactive Maps
- In 2021, we released an Interactive Maps alpha to 20 communities.
- Feedback from the Map testers was invaluable to determining what tools to build into the feature next.
- After a pause for the last few months of the year, development has once again kicked off on Interactive Maps…

The FandomDesktop opt-in is now LIVE
After all the blogs Fandom shared with previews, FandomDesktop is now LIVE for you to check out! During this time, logged-in users will be able to switch from Oasis to FandomDesktop as their wiki experience through an opt-in toggle, found in an on-site banner and in user preferences. You will also be able to switch back by changing your user preferences.
Please do note that not everything has been developed yet, so expect changes to still occur. However, you already get access now so editors and admins get used to the new design and, especially, the admins can prepare this community for full migration, which will come early this summer.
Admins, you should definitely check out the new Theme Designer and the FandomDesktop preparation guide for a…
FandomDesktop: deeper look into the new navigation
Hey all! As you know, 2021 will be the year of the Fandom/Gamepedia desktop skin redesign, called FandomDesktop. In order to help communities better prepare, understand, but especially get insight and be able to get involved by sharing their feedback, Fandom has been releasing blog posts with the latest updates on the design.
The latest reveal is "A deeper look at Navigation on FandomDesktop", which gives you some more insights and mock-ups for how search, profile submenu, and notifications will look, and some insights as to how the decision about the new local navigation came to be.
If you have a few minutes to spare, I strongly recommend giving it a read (click here). Should you have any questions or concerns about it, please do not hesita…
FandomDesktop introduction and feedback
Hey all! I'm currently gathering feedback regarding the upcoming change to the desktop skin, called FandomDesktop, to help me understand any of the concerns and issues this community may face due to this change, so they can be properly addressed during testing and before we get to rollout. The change is introduced at large in this staff blog, which I advise everyone to read if you haven't already.
Some notable points:
- Light and Dark modes - A wiki can basically have two theme options, and users can pick their preference. Admins will be able to style both in ThemeDesigner.
- Fluid width - The content area can be expanded, and the right rail can also be collapsed, for a wider article page. This too will be user preference.
- Global navigation - Instea…
Bug smashing efforts
Hey all! I am super glad that I get to reach out for this and ask for your input! Some of you may have already read the blog announcement on Community Central about this, but for those who haven't: Fandom announced that it would focus the upcoming 2 weeks on an all-hands quality of life project -- read "a two-week bug squashing effort"!
So my question to you all is: are there perhaps any bugs that have been annoying you since whenever UCP came along? This project is the perfect opportunity for you to get the word out about those things! Just drop your report in the comments here, leave me a message, or even reach out to me via Discord if you're more comfortable doing that, and I'll do my best to get your voice heard. These don't have to be …
Review of HTGAWM
This show is amazing!
I can not say that enough times! The acting is just spot on. The actors show real emotion and care for their characters.
I am so impressed with the cast. The episodes just keep getting better and better. Honestly cannot wait for season 5!
Viola Davis deserve's a million EGOT's (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony Award) for her performance as the one and only defence lawyer I like, Annalise Keating.
What episode was it when a woman said "Who are you? Beyonce".
I remember when Annalise left jail in season 3, a woman replaced her. Annalise's cell mate said "Who are you" and the new woman replied with "Beyonce". What episode was this? Thanks
My Thoughts on Season 3
This season was beautifully done and incredible. I felt Annalise's pain and tears when she lost Wes and finally opened up about it in the finale and I have never sympathized or cared more for a character than I do with Annalise, Laurel, and the entire cast of HTGAWM. The way Laurel changed with his loss, the way Connor changed, and even Michaela was incredible and heartbreaking. Also how Annalise was put through such horrible conditions in jail after losing someone who was like a son to her was horrible and saddening... When I found out about how she lost her son in the second season, all I wanted to do was scream and cry for her. Viola Davis is the best lead actress on television. Honestly the best show I've ever seen with the most incred…
Who Killed Wes?
I've been wondering what everyone's thoughts, theories, etc. on who killed Wes.
I've been all over the place really with thinking who it could possibly be but after watchingNot Everything's About Annalise, I think, out of the main cast, it could be Asher who killed him. My theory isn't very strong but this show just plays with your mind a little, so you get filled with doubts, theories, ideas that simply come out of nowhere! There was just something about him attacking Connor that made me think that the was a reason it happened, other than Asher getting angry with him. It's just niggling at my head a little bit to be honest!
It could also be someone who hasn't appeared this season, or someone in the background, maybe someone like Charles Mah…
Where have I seem them before?
This is a little blog that I thought I'd start out of interest. Just wondering if or where you've all seen/been aware of the HTGAWM cast before.
I've worked out a decent sized list for me so, here we go (will add more every so often/if I miss any):
- Viola Davis (Annalise Keating): 'Trust', 'Eat, Pray Love' and 'Kate & Leopold'
- Billy Brown (Nate Lahey): 'Star Trek' and 'Jet Set Radio Future
- Alfred Enoch (Wes Gibbins): 'Harry Potter and 'Sherlock'
- Matt McGorry (Asher Millstone): 'Orange Is the New Black'
- Charlie Weber (Frank Delfino): 'Vampires Suck', 'Charmed' and 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer
- Liza Weil (Bonnie Winterbottom): 'Dragonfly'
- Katie Findlay (Rebecca Sutter): 'Continuum'
- Kendrick Sampson (Caleb Hapstall): 'The Vampire Diaries'
- Sarah Burns (Emil…
Who's the Baby Daddy?
Anyone got any thoughts, theories etc? Who do you want it to be?
For me, it seems to be Wes but as this show has lots of twists and turns, there's a little part of me that thinks it'll be someone else and that someone will be Frank. There's something about the latest episode trailer (3x08) that makes me think Laurel and Frank will end up sleeping together (whether it's through love or hate, force or not) and so THAT would be the 'twist' of this particular storyline.
It's a little weak in terms of possible outcome (thankfully I'm not a writer for this show!), it's just me putting my thoughts out there. Also, though I actually have been a big 'Flaurel' fan, I hope Wes is the daddy.
Maybe, if the writers want to have a 'shocking' outcome here, t…
HTGAWM Fanfiction
Hey! I really live for this show! It's truly incredible, mysterious and SHOCKING!!! I didin't actually start watching it until the recent break between 2.09 and 2.10! And let's just say that I watched Season 1 in one day and than Season 2 in the next night! I am so addicted to it and I am so glad that it has come back! But anyway, leading on to the actual point of this blog post. I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in reading or maybe even helping me write a HTGAWM fanfiction. Now, i'm not making any promises that I will, but I would truly love to and I think that I already have it planned out in my head. However, it wouldn't be exactly like HTGAWM, as in I would create my own charatcers and it wouldn't take place within…
Character infobox or character page?
Hi everybody, I was thinking something.
Can we add a list of the crimes commited for every character? That way we can remeber what bad thing do everyone?
We can add (if you wanna) this in the character infobox or maybe in the character page... so let me now what do you think! :)
PD: Sorry but I'm from Chile, and I don't have a good english! Bye!
How did Sam help Anna Mae become Annalise
Hey Everyone,
I've been told that I look like a young Viola Davis sooooo many times that I decided to do something about it. So, check out my 5 min fan fiction short where we explore the beginnings of Annalise & Sam. It's called Flashback: A Dangerous Beginning.
Thanks,
Dani Woodson
[A Dangerous Beginning]
Can we update the pages?
Come on guys, some much people see this show and this wiki is so empty of the things that happen in the show. I'm from Chile I don't have a very good English, if I have it I'll update all the pages but is difficult to me.
Also... Can we change the colors of the wikia to something more HTGAWM-like... I mean, somenthing like blanck and red, or somthing with red?
Season 2 Premiere Party Menu
The Season 2 premiere of How to Get Away with Murder is ALMOST HERE! To celebrate, we cooked up a murderous menu just for you. Create these killer recipes, inspired by the show, for your friends or family at your very own premiere party. Enjoy!
This turkey chili is KILLER. Don't tell your friends what's in it- make them solve their own mystery to figure it out.
Make some bloody, rare steaks for your friends just in case the premiere episode is, well, bloody.
Hide the body part cookies around your house if you want to make a game out of it! Otherwise dig into these murderous cookies.
Drink up these Lady Killers while you watch everything go DOWN! Annalise would approve.
Why did they kill Sam Keating?
Ok so I guess the question we are all wondering is why did they kill him?
Post your theroies below! :)
