Case[]
While Emmett was in London, he fell in love with one of his clients Nora while representing her DNA-testing company. During this, Nora sold her customer's genetic information to Beck Pharmaceuticals. Pierce wanted Nora to say during the deposition with the FTC that she only made the sale because Emmett failed to advise her of the legal consequences. Annalise brought up the idea of moving liability from Caplan & Gold and Nora to Beck Pharmaceuticals. Her reasoning was the company was fined two years prior for buying genetic information, meaning they understood the risks and consequences but ignored FTC rules anyway. Pierce argued that pointing the finger at Beck would cause Nora's stock to plummet after they go public. Later, Annalise and Emmett both come up with the idea to make Pierce take responsibility. Pierce threatened to fire them both but Annalise said it would be retaliatory termination. Then Nora got on board as well and lied that Pierce gave her the advice.
